WHO IS EDIE BLOOM?

Edie Bloom is the nom de plume

for the writing team of

Michelle Meyers and Robin Strober.

Michelle Meyers was an assistant editor at Filmmaker Magazine. Michelle has worked in public relations and in the multimedia industry. She has also studied at L.A.'s Groundlings Theater.

Robin Strober is a writer and artist. Her writing has appeared in Salon.com and the L.A. Weekly. Her short story, "Poker Face" (set in Las Vegas about a woman's obsession with Wayne Newton) was the closing story in the literary anthology, Hers2 (Faber & Faber). She has taught creative writing at Brooklyn College and has worked as a freelance "namer," collaborating with ad agencies and branding companies to create new monikers for businesses and products. An article about her paint chip collages was published in The New York Times Home Design Magazine in 2003. A link to her artwork will be coming to this site soon.

Michelle and Robin's comedic play, The Nestlers was selected for a play reading festival at NYC's Here Theater. They are presently penning a new work of fiction.
